The Adventure Begins

Our Alaska Honeymoon

Glaciers, salmon fishing, and quiet mornings surrounded by wilderness — a week of presence, beauty, and the calm that comes from being exactly where you're supposed to be.

The Heart of This Trip

Our honeymoon isn't about checking boxes or conquering adventures. It's about slowing down, being together, and savoring extraordinary natural beauty. We chose Alaska because it reflects who we are — grounded people drawn to wild, beautiful places.

We're heading to the Kenai Peninsula in south-central Alaska — a place where tidewater glaciers calve into the sea, salmon run through cold rivers, and the light lasts well past midnight in early summer.

"A week where we feel held by Alaska's beauty, connected to each other, and genuinely at ease."

What We'll Experience

Glacier Kayaking

Paddling near tidewater glaciers in Kenai Fjords National Park — watching ice calve into the sea from the water.

Salmon Fishing

A guided half-day on the Kenai River — the ritual, the patience, the connection to a wild place.

Scenic Beauty

Driving the Seward Highway, hiking Exit Glacier trails, and watching the sun never quite set.

Quiet Mornings

Coffee on the porch, no schedule, no rush. Built-in rest so every adventure feels chosen, not forced.

The Itinerary

Seven days based in Seward, Alaska — the gateway to Kenai Fjords National Park. Early June, when the glaciers are active and the salmon are running.

Day 1
Arrive & Settle In
Fly into Anchorage. Drive the scenic Seward Highway (2.5 hours of mountains and turquoise rivers). Settle into our cabin. Dinner in town.
Day 2
Exit Glacier & Exploration
Hike to Exit Glacier — one of the few places you can walk up to a glacier. Afternoon exploring Seward's harbor and waterfront. Quiet evening.
Day 3
Kenai Fjords Glacier Cruise & Kayaking
Full-day glacier experience — boat into the fjords, kayak near tidewater glaciers, watch ice calve into the sea. Wildlife everywhere. The highlight.
Day 4
Rest Day
Sleep in. Coffee. Read. Walk. Maybe a bakery visit. This is the kind of day that makes a honeymoon feel like a honeymoon.
Day 5
Salmon Fishing on the Kenai River
Guided half-day trip with a local expert. The river, the mountains, the patience. Whether we catch anything or not — the experience is the point.
Day 6
Explore & Celebrate
Optional day trip to Homer or a scenic hike. Nice dinner to mark the trip — looking back on the week with gratitude.
Day 7
Depart
Morning in Seward. Drive back to Anchorage. Fly home rested, connected, and full of awe.
